Week 4


Well, Phaser physics are quite complicated. Using the online documentation and the example game we’ve been supplied to make my game can be summed up as so: ‘using a whale and giraffe to design a mouse’. They’re both useful for other areas but not for what I’m trying to make. However, progress has been made.

I’ve got a complex, but working, gun that shoots projectiles which has gone through many iterations to solve small problems which is a problem in itself. Most iterations were to solve aiming issues with aiming either pointing inaccurately or in the opposite direction to where it was supposed to. This likely could’ve been fixed with the implementation of a much simpler calculation, but considering it already took an entire week to make the gun shoot it was seen as more time effective to just leave it move on.
